Boosters of Love
A widow that was in our thoughts and prayers recently had a testimony. She and her
husband were people who loved God and fully participated in church life. When
her husband suddenly fell sick and passed away, she had no means of survival
because her breadwinner was gone. Questions were in many minds about what God
would do. In the meantime, without her knowledge a communications company identified
her house stand as the most advantageous spot to locate a signal booster for
the area. She accepted their request. From then on this company gave her a monthly
payment and 24/7 security, such a timely source of provision for her family.
Paul wrote, ‘That I
should share among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ ; And to
make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery (Ephesians 3:8b,
9)’ Similar to the booster set up on
the widow’s house stand God has
chosen you and entrusted you with his divine nature for all people see his goodness.
He chose you to be the most advantageous person in your community. Whatever you
receive from God, your role is to transmit and broadcast it.
People familiar with witchcraft and charms from evil sources
will tell you that the power of the charms lies in their secrecy. When publicized
and exposed, they lose their effectiveness. The opposite is true of God’s glory
on us. The more it is made public, the more powerful it becomes. The more you
share what you have received, favor and provision become your companions.
We are boosters of God and He is love. We have received in
order to show and share - that all may see the goodness of God. That is the
agenda of the house of God. What will you do to share Christ and show his love
this week? On whose face will you put a smile and whose eyes will you give
hope?
